In me humanities class we have been making our city connections. This is where you write about where you write about a place that you have been to and write about its historical, statistical and environmental factors. I believe that I did very well. These are afew things that I think I was really good at. I had a clear voice and I was lound enough that everyone could hear me. I think that I had a lot of information.
One thing that I think I need to improve on is having good eye contact. I looked at a few people but I didn't look at everyone. It is important to memorize mostly everything because then you can look around at the audience. Everyone can hear you much better because you will be facing more at them and not the screen so you can read it off there. Another thing I need to work on is to not fiddle or shake and move around a lot because then I won't sound so shakey and people can focus on the presentation and not me fiddling around. I should probably bring note cards next time because then I wouldn't be reading off of the screen and reading the large list of facts in front of them.
I learned a lot from my information as well as the class did. I knew a few things but, then while I was reaserching about it, I could learn a lot more things. I learned how many people are in my home contry and how many people are male and female. I also learned a lot about the enviroment like that the city was built on a swamp and that the district has three natural flowing bodies of water, the Patomac River and two tributaries, the Anacostia River and Rock Creek. I also learned many historical factors about it.
I personally think that I did a great job on my overall preformance. I had a lound voice, I had a lot of information and maps, I didn't have very good eye contact but I still looked at a few people, I had a clear voice and I didn't really fiddle too much. I do think that I did a good job but next time there are a few things that I need to add to make it a bit better and stop reading off of the screen.

New Year's Resolutions
A resolution is something that you would like to achieve, conquer or start to do this year. There are a lot to chose from such as be healthier, get fit, get organized, help others, learn a new skill, be nicer, etc. My New Year's Resolution was getting organized. Another one that I want to do is to help other people.
During the lovely break, a lot of new kids transferred or move to different schools. There are a lot of new kids that came to ISKL especially 6th grade. No new kids are in my class but I still want to help others more so that they aren't so worried about moving and new friends and so they get to know the school better. I am not a peer helper but that doesn't mean that I don't have to help the new students when either their peer is somewhere else or they are absent.
Getting organized is very important because it helps you in school, you aren't losing things more often, you keep things clean and neat and sometimes in an order. You also stay prepared and have everything where you want and where you need it. I need to get organized because I don't keep things clean and I am not always prepared and I sometime lose things.
Over the break, I stayed in KL. This probably means that I won't do much because there might not be a lot of things to do around the house. I didn't do much of the bigger things, instead I did more littler things. For Christmas, I wanted to go to sleep early. It was very hard for me to get all of my family asleep. After that, when they were all asleep, me and my sister planned to get up early and take a shower. I set my alarm on my phone and it went off early in the morning like I planned. I told my little brother and he also woke up. We had to be super careful not to wake up anyone else. Me and my sister and my little brother ran down the stairs and saw all of the presents. Santa came!!!
For new year's eve, I watched T.V. That night we had dinner and then had sparkling juice. We went to see the fireworks but they were blocked behind the buildings. Since we didn't have such a great new year because of the buildings, the next morning we watched the ball drop in New York on T.V. Watching the ball drop reminded me of America. In America we always used to watch the ball drop and we used to watch the fireworks. In January I went ice skating in Sunway Piramad with a girl and her family. The girl had diabetes and she was very nice. As soon as my skates touched the ice I was so scared because I was worried that I would slip because this was my first time going ice skating. I had a very fun vacation doing little things but I was getting bored but it was a relaxing break not having to worry about airplane rides, hotels, keys and suitcases.
